Drinking Water Solutions
Providing Trusted Drinking Water Solutions to Municipalities Across the Globe
Many Municipal customers are challenged to implement effective treatment options that comply with ever-changing government standards. Removing contaminants, inorganic compounds, and pathogens such as E-coli, Cryptosporidium, and Giardia cysts/oocysts are of particular interest as these constituents can adversely affect public health. The Pall's water treatment systems offer reliable and proven technology to meet critical drinking water demand.
Surface waters can be challenging to treat due to seasonal fluctuations, turbidity events, or requirements for specific contaminant removal. Our microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), and reverse osmosis (RO) membrane technology enables municipalities to successfully comply with stringent federal and local drinking water requirements.

Enabling Preventative Maintenance and Meeting Peak Demand
THE CHALLENGE: In 2014, officials in Monmouth County, New Jersey were determined to implement a water filtration system as they sought to provide additional water production capacity in order to take clarifiers off-line for preventative maintenance. Additionally, the county wanted a way to supplement its water supply from the Swimming River Reservoir as this alone was unable to meet peak demand in the summer months. THE NEED: In order to solve these challenges, New Jersey American Water began qualifying various mobile membrane units. THE SOLUTION: Aria FAST technology was chosen as the solution, providing additional capacity that provided residents with the water they needed, enabling preventative maintenance on an existing system.
Meeting Drinking Water Standards in Revamped Water Treatment Plant
THE CHALLENGE: In 1996, city officials in Cottage Grove, OR were tasked with renovating and developing added water production capacity at its Row River Water Treatment Plant. THE NEED: City officials were not only tasked with finding a treatment method capable of meeting drinking water standards, but one that was also able to handle Cottage Grove’s unique capacity requirements where water use frequently triples during the summer months. Additionally, facility operators needed to find a treatment method that they could trust as 24/7 monitoring of the water supply and treatment were paramount. THE SOLUTION: A custom Aria FLEX system was designed to address the needs of the city, meeting seasonal water demands and providing remote monitoring and service.
